HOT tansponders.

They should be in by Wednesday and will be for sale at the track this Saturday from 10:00 am till 4:00 pm.

Both tracks have said $10 to rent. I think Boyd is $10 as well.

Anyone know what brand they are using and are they all using the same brand? As for the $10...it's just cheaper to buy them for $100-$150. That way the racer will end up saving money in many ways after the first 10-15 races. Is this an IMCA thing?

I do know at HOT the deposit will be your state drivers license. This will allow them to have something of interest to you to return the unit or atleast your information to get in touch with you if you dont return it. It is better than a credit card and the issues of security and trust that might be invovled.

The brand they use is westhold

Although I like the drivers license thing better, Eagle makes you leave $20 then when you return the receiver you get $5 back ($15 rental fee). Doesn't sound like a good plan to me...I like HOT's plan better.
