bring your modified to race with me, no license required, and 100.00 dollar bonus to any winner who doesnt have a race tx card...

would i get 4-5 more cars at least?
15 more paid pit passes?
and 25 more fans in my stands buying concessions?

i think those numbers are very attainable

i dont think racers realize they hold the power, and when the promoters feel a hiyt in the wallet things will change and probably not until then.

too late for this season, if they change it now there will be 20 people saying the only reason they bought the license was to race and want their money back

i just hate that it costs the racers money in another poor thought out decision

Im with everyone about the extra 100 dollers but the new series is to help the drivers earn something at the end of the season. WE plan on trying to run with it and make the top 20 in points to earn some money at the end of the season you pay 100 and could make 2,000. I know it hurts guys who want to race 1-2 times but in the end I think the series will be good.

I would have to ask: 1) what insurance does the track have
2) what is the pay out
3) what do I get at the end of the season
4) what would the rules be(IMCA, UMP, USMTS)
5) what does it cost me to get in the gate
Bill W. and Dr. Bob........who could have known.
Confused?

first of all this was to prove a point...right now would bea great time for a promoter to offer such a deal and intice a few racers to race with him..choices is what it is all about

mr davis, i understand that the series is right for you, and i think its terrific for those who want to gamble 100 dollars to try to make 2000 you and your team have made that commitment, i hope you do well.

i hope the race tx series does good for those who wish to participate

but why cant racers just race for the love of the sport and the fun without having to get involved with the race tex series

think about this....im a racer from killeen i want to visit a track in dallas, ill bring a few fans, a few to trhe pits and pay my fee...but with this set of rules

100 dollars for license
30 dollars for a pay card
at least 25 dollars for entry

155.00 to participate in the sport i love at a new track? if the promoters dont want me to travel there and race, just tell me so

this is what im hearing

To answer this question, you would alienate yourself with the other promoters, sometime or another you will need their help.

This is sort of funny, it is real simple, if you do not want to pay the 100.00, run at another track that is not running this sanction, do not run the series pull to another IMCA track, you may drive further and maybe the 100.00 would actually save you money??

I do find it strange that we have heard all the talk about "You can not run unless you are a paid member", now we see a promoter that is supposedly saying "It is your choice". Does anyone know how much trouble this could be on keeping the points structure accurate with cars that are and are not running for association points?

Just my two cents worth!

very good points Rick

it just appears to me that this is more of a contingency program than a series, and like any contingency, the individual racer should get the decision to decide if they want to purchase the product *or in this case the license* to take advantage of the perks.

i will say again,,,for some it will be a great deal ..just please let me decide if i want to participate while letting me race where i would like to support.

ive said enough...i hope it all works out great, i fear that the rich will just get richer so to speak and in the end the majority of the racers will see no return

I ALSO THOUGHT IT WAS ODD THAT YOU COULD NOT RACE WITH OUT A LICENSE AT ANY TRACK. I WOULD THINK A RACE TRACK WOULD WANT ANY AND ALL RACE TEAMS AND ITS FANS TO COME TO THEIR TRACK. IF YOUR CAR MEETS THE SPEC RULES OF THE TRACK, WHY NOT RACE AND RECIVE NO POINTS WITH OUT A LICENSE. LEAVE THE POINTS TO THE CARD HOLDERS , SINCE THEIR MAIN PAY OUT IS END OF YEAR POINTS. CONFUSED ASKED ABOUT INSURANCE, DOES THE CARD HOLDERS HAVE MORE OR BETTER INSURANCE THAN WHAT THE TRACK IT SELF HAS ? IM WITH CIRCLEBURNER = CONFUSED :?
